3 Simple Tricks to INCREASE Traffic to Your Blog Without Writing More Co...

The 3 Simple Tricks to increase traffic to your blog without writing more content is amazing.

The main points:

  • Adjust title tags for posts with low traffic, then repost them.
  • Retweet popular posts over time
  • Content repurposing via youtube, podcast, LinkedIn

Action plan

1.  Make of list of low traffic posts, adjust with effective title tags, and then repost them according to Google blogger's built-in schedule gadget.  This is cool stuff that allows you to schedule month, day, and time.

2.  Make a list of popular high-ranking posts and schedule them to repost them naturally over time.

3.  Spend time to find out how to do the content repurposing as recommended by Neil Patel.

The 3 Most Important Points About Backlinks

What is a backlink?

Backlinks are called inbound links because they represent another website's traffic coming to your own site.  Google and other major search engines consider backlinks "votes" for a specific page. Pages with a high number of backlinks would have a high organic search engine ranking. I have to emphasize the quality and quantity of your backlinks can help you rank higher in search engines.

The quality of a backlink depends on the online reputation of this website or blog and its credibility in the eyes of search engines. Backlinks are essential criteria for organic ranking, and they are still crucial for SEO performance because they are the foundation of Google's original PageRank algorithm. There have been countless independent studies in the SEO industry proving the impact of backlinks on organic search performance.

How to Get Backlinks?

  • Add links to your site on your social media profiles
  • Do a Google search for a post that's already ranking well and then improve and expand it
  • Create "List" posts
  • Create "How-to" posts
  • Create "Why" posts
  • Create "Step-by-step" guideposts
  • Create posts with embedded videos

Where to add backlinks?

  • Use TubeBuddy to add backlinks to your Youtube videos    TubeBuddy Review
  • Embed YouTube videos to your websites.
  • Share your links on Social Media:
  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. Tumblr
  4. Pinterest
  5. Digg
  6. LinkedIn
  7. Quora
  • Add genuine comments to your social media groups
  • Automated link-building software

Youtube Channel Subscribers Sudden Unexpected Drop

Last night I was so excited at knowing that my Youtube channel  'Canada living - YouTuber, Blogger David Au'  hit 103 subscribers.  It brought me to the 100 subscribers mini-milestone. In fact, TubeBuddy contacted me to let me know that I hit the 100 subscribers milestone.  I told myself I would have a little celebration tomorrow morning celebrating this important mini-milestone.  It is the first baby step to the 1000 Subscribers milestone.

The excitement was a concise one.  I was saddened the following day when I found the number of subscribers dropped from 103 to 94.  It was a surprise, and it was disappointing.  I searched for the answer from the internet, such as Quora and the Youtube community.

Now I have some sort of insight for this sudden subscribers drop.   Some of the subscribers were possibly removed by Youtube from me because they stayed in my channel, watching more minor than the required time as per Youtube requirements, e.g., 2 to 3 minutes.  They did not last long enough watching the videos or leaving without a comment.  They may have forgotten to hit the tiny bell and the 'Like' button when they hit subscribe.  These may be the reasons.

My friends, thank you for visiting my blog here.  By the way, have you seen my Youtube channel?  I would invite all my friends to my channel and give me your support by hitting the subscribe button, the tiny bell, and giving me a thumbs up 'Like.' Your support means a lot to me, giving me the energy to move forward with my work online searching for a breakthrough during my retirement years.  Thank you, my friends, and have a perfect day.

Affiliate marketing startup with Google Blogger = Increase Blog Traffic

Introduction

Write more and post your article consistently.  It is best to do 1 post daily, or even one post weekly. The key is consistency and the article content. Stick with a lot of information and nicely presented do matter in gaining the attention of the search engines. e.g., Google, Bing, Youtube, Yahoo.  Studies show that the more often you update your blog, the more traffic it will receive.  Posts too short or duplication are not welcome at all.  If you want attention from these big players, your article must be rich in content and long size.

Write Better Titles Utilizing SEO Keywords Tools

Blog titles and post titles are signboards of your blog and posts. Readers' first attention is of utmost importance.
Their stay and leave are at this very moment.
The same applies to search engines.
Therefore, we first pay attention to keyword research
for the blog title and post titles
then we proceed to the actual writing of
these titles and content.
This act is a sure win in the long run.
It provides both Google search keywords and
Youtube search keywords, but separately.
 I am thrilled with it.

Focus on Your Niche

The word niche is nowadays used in the marketing arena.  It means a small subset of the prominent market that is unique and small but with many potentials.  The market niche defines the product features to satisfy specific market needs, price range, product quality, and demographics.  It is highly specialized, aiming to survive among the competition from the big companies.

As regards my niche, it goes with my passion for an online business.  Hence, I am working on my computer, communicating with friends with a similar passion.  Socializing with people in the internet world while selling affiliate products online to prospective clients.  I am inclined to sell digital products and educational programs partly due to my passion. The other reason is they are recurring passive income.

Add Keywords to the Blog (Google Blogger)

Now we are at the Blogger dashboard, do the following:

  • scroll down the left sidebar menu to 'Setting',
  • then scroll to privacy. ..enable visible to Search engines, and allow the search engines to crawl on the blog
  • then scroll down to Meta tags add the blog title
  • add blog description up to 150 characters, click save
  • continue scroll to Crawlers and indexing enable custom robots.txt to enable custom robots.txt to enable custom robots header tags
  • then go to the posts - the page with thumbnails add short description
  • scroll down to find the search description and fill in the search description, with keywords -150 characters then click update
  • go back to the blogger dashboard left sidebar menu scroll to 'Setting' ...
  • at Google search console add  your URL to Google search console

Now it is done.

There is another way to add keywords to your blog as follows:

At the left side is a sidebar; scroll down to 'Theme.'

  • Click at customizing, then choose HTML edit.
  • Then Insert under the "head" tag to define your keywords. In the "content" attribute, type your keywords between the quotation marks and separate them with space.

Add Videos or Photos

In today's marketing, videos are better than photos, and photos are better than words.  So, go video, video, and video. That is the trend. Visit me on Youtube.

Add Links to Your Post

Add links to your post, such as your favorite link that is inspiring to you, and you like to share it with your readers, or a link to your affiliate program/product introducing it to people following your blog.  I would suggest linking with influential sites such as Linkedin, Quora, Digg, etc.

Add Social Sharing Buttons.

Google Blogger has plenty of gadgets that I like. one of them is the social sharing buttons situated at the foot of every post you make.  The position can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Email, and Pinterest with a click of the mouse.  If you need one, here is an excellent tool for free social sharing buttons, Addthis.

My Reminder to the Readers

Make sure that your blog is mobile responsive, for it may adversely affect the traffic to the blog due to the following issues.

  • The text is too small to read
  • Clickable  elements too close together
  • Viewport not set to device-width
  • Use incompatible plug-in
Smartphone users are much more than desktop users, and the trend is growing.  You would agree that we cannot afford to lose these potential customers.

By the way, the following is an abstract from Wikipedia regarding

Linkedin:

LinkedIn is an American business and employment-oriented online service that operates via websites and mobile apps. Launched on May 5, 2003, the platform is primarily used for professional networking and career development and allows job seekers to post their CVs and employers to post jobs. As of 2015, most of its revenue came from selling access to information about its members to recruiters and sales professionals. Since December 2016, it has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Microsoft. As of September 2021, LinkedIn has 774+ million registered members from over 200 countries and territories.

LinkedIn allows members (both workers and employers) to create profiles and "connect" with each other in an online social network that may represent real-world professional relationships. Members can invite anyone (an existing member or not) to become a "connection." LinkedIn can also organize offline events, join groups, write articles, publish job postings, post photos and videos, and more.

The Google Search Console Benefits

A couple of days ago, I routinely checked my blog RHTTC55 e-Magazine. At the Blogger (Blogspot) dashboard menu under "Setting," I scrolled down to "Crawler and Indexing" then clicked at "Google Search Console" and found some issues brought up by the console, namely the mobile usability.

My blog, RHTTC55, is not mobile responsive, and it adversely affected the traffic to the blog due to the following issues.

  • The text is too small to read
  • Clickable  elements too close together
  • Viewport not set to device-width
  • Use incompatible plug-in

I checked into my cellphone and my laptop right away.  I clicked into the blogger dashboard and studied the "Theme" at the left side menu.   I scrolled down and selected "Theme," then clicked customize and switched the default desktop-first indexing to mobile-first indexing and previewed it before saving it.  Now it is good, and it is mobile responsive. I checked again with my cellphone. The issue is fixed, and I gave feedback to the Google search console updating that the fix started.  I am surprised by Google's prompt reply saying problems are resolved. This conversation happened at the Google Search Console.

I appreciate it very much for this feedback because it helps me fix the issues and improve my reach out to both desktop and mobile users.  My friends, are you aware that Google has switched its focus from desktop search to mobile search setting?

Note:

Google: We'll be switching to mobile-first indexing for all websites starting September 2020.

Google Search Console is free, but it is an invaluable tool and service offered by Google.  It helps us monitor,  maintain, and troubleshoot our site's presence in Google Search results. We don't have to sign up for it.  Just signing in with our Google account will do. Google Search Console offers us tools and reports for the following:

  • Google finds and crawls our site and confirms to us accordingly.
  • Index our blog/site, fix indexing problems and request new or updated content re-index.
  • Provide Google Search traffic data for our blogsite:
  • How often our blog/site appears in Google Search,
  • Which search queries show our blog/site,
  • How often do searchers click through?
  • Provide alerts when Google encounters indexing, spam, or other issues on our site.
  • Show us which blog/sites link to our blog/site.
  • Troubleshoot issues for AMP, mobile usability, and other search features.
My friends make good use of this priceless tool.  It is perfect.

To: Owner of https://imakemoneywithaffiliateprograms.blogspot.com/,

On Oct 13, 2021, Google systems confirmed that we started collecting Google Search impressions for your website in Search Console. This means that pages from your website are now appearing in Google search results for some queries. Here’s how you can monitor your site’s performance in search using Search Console.

Track your website’s performance:

1

Check your top pages on Google Search

Check your total pages in the Performance Report to monitor how many impressions they get.

2

See which queries trigger your site

See which queries show your website’s pages in Google search results.

3

Monitor errors on your pages

Pages with errors may not appear in search results or provide a bad experience to your users. Ensure that you check the crawl errors report and fix any issues you find.

Q&A URL Submission to Google Search Console

 What is URL submission?

People manually submit URLs to search engines for faster indexing. By doing so, search engines are updated with new information added to the website. It may usually take two to four weeks to get indexed.

How do I submit a URL to the Google Search Console?

  • Sign in to Google Search Console through our Google account.

It is easy to submit by URL, e.g. (https://www.example.com).

  • Use domain to submit (complicated)
  • Copy the URL  to submit.
  • Paste URL into the designated space.
  • Click the continue button for verification.
  • If ok, go to the property
  • it is done.

What is Search Console, and why should we use it?

Google Search Console is a free tool.  It gives site/blog owners the tools to check their site's performance. Not only does it show how our site is doing under the hood, but also how searchers see our site in the search results

  • Blog/site owners can view Google Search traffic data
  • how often our site appears in Google Search,
  • which search queries show our site,
  • how often do searchers click through for those queries
  •  and Fix indexing problems and request re-indexing of new or updated content.
  • Receive alerts when Google encounters indexing, spam, or other issues on our site.
  • Show us which sites link to our website.

Why are there blogs/sites standing high in the search engine ranking?

With view page source, we can check into their homepages and find that they use SEO optimizing software:

If we need to stand above the rest in the competition, we must research and invest in this direction.

How to add a website property to your Search Console account?

Yesterday we touched on how and where to insert the keyword tags.  Now we have the keywords enriched URL ready.  Here is the critical point: to submit it to Google for its search engine to crawl on our blog.  The following is abstracted from Google Console Help:

Add a website property

Here is how to add a website property to your Search Console account. Note that you must be able to prove that you own the site (or appropriate section of that site) to add it to your Search Console account. You can create a property that includes an entire domain (example.com) or a property limited to a single branch (example.com/clothing/).

    Types of website properties

Search Console supports the following website property types:

     URL-prefix propertyDomain property
    Description

Includes only URLs with the specified prefix, including the protocol (HTTP/HTTPS). If you want your property to match any protocol or subdomain (HTTP/HTTPS/www./m. and so on), consider adding a Domain property instead. See more details.

A domain-level property includes all subdomains (m, www, and so on) and multiple protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP). See more details.
    VerificationMany typesDNS record verification only
    Examples

    Property http://example.com/

     http://example.com/dresses/1234
    🅧
https://example.com/dresses/1234 - HTTPS does not match
    🅧 http://www.example.com/dresses/1234 - www. does not match

    Property example.com

     http://example.com/dresses/1234

    https://example.com/dresses/1234
     http://www.example.com/dresses/1234
     http://support.m.example.com/dresses/1234

    Add a new property

    To add a new property:

    1. Open the property selector dropdown on any Search Console page.
    2. Select + Add property on the dropdown.
    3. Choose the type of property to add:
    4. You will be given a selection of verification methods to use for your property. When you choose a verification method in Search Console, you will be shown the required verification steps for that method. You can verify immediately or save your settings and resume the process later:
      • To verify immediately, follow the verification steps described without closing the popup window, then click Verify in the popup window. If it takes you some time to perform these steps, you can permanently save your settings and resume the process later (described next).
      • To pause and resume the process later, click Verify later to save your current state, close the popup, and verify your site at your convenience. After performing the required verification steps, finish verification by selecting the protected (but unverified) property in the property selector in the navigation bar and Verify.
    5. Data should begin to appear on your property in a few days. Data collection for a property starts as soon anyone adds the property in any Search Console account, even before verification. Data collection continues as long as any user has that property in their history, whether or not it has a verified owner. Suppose your property has no data several days after verification. In that case, it is possibly because the site hasn't been seen in Google Search or that you have specified the wrong URL (for example, you set HTTP instead of HTTPS for your URL-prefix property).
Support for non-Latin characters in property URLs
Search Console supports Internationalizing Domain Names in Applications (IDNA) as site URLs. Just type your domain name as usual, and it will appear correctly in Search Console. For example, if you type http://bücher.example.com/ in the Add property box, it will appear correctly.

    Re-add a removed property

You can re-add a property you have removed without verification, as long as the property still has one verified owner.

To re-add the property, simply add the property as described above in steps 1-3, and you should automatically be re-verified.

Here below are two elite blogs, namely johnchow.com and problogger.com.

They are standing above most bloggers.  I, therefore, checked into their homepages and found both of them use SEO optimizing software:
    • This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.2.1 - https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ -->
    • problogger.com
If we need to stand above the rest in the competition, we must research and invest in this direction.

Bought and Test-drive Tubebuddy STAR version - DavidAu

    Introduction

On October 8th, 2021, I joined TubeBuddy Affiliate Program. After test driving its free version for several hours, I was utterly blown away despite being free with limited usage. Therefore, I bought the paid version Star Level on October 9th, 2021. This version has much more features than the free version.  The surprise upon installing the setup and login into my Youtube dashboard is worth mentioning. It simply transformed and became entirely upgraded with tons of powerful features with its tiny Tubebuddy logo at the top right corner of the dashboard. I had made an excellent decision like the one I made last year when  I bought a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid LE 2021.  It was my best buy last year for its functionality and usability.  I think I made another brilliant deal, too, buying TubeBuddy, the tool for my video marketing.   It is essentially a certified YouTube SEO tool and Chrome extension that directly provides a brand new dashboard with a new layout for all my thumbnails.  It is a professional powerhouse.

    Tubebuddy upload suite and dashboard

    1. Keyword Explorer

The Keyword Explorer is the essential TubeBuddy tool that helps people grow their channels and gain views. It helped me develop a lot by discovering keywords and tags to use, increasing my output! You'll gain tons of organic traffic.

The upload suite is the hub for a lot of  YouTube SEO magic. It is the essential part of this SEO tool that helps us grow our channel gaining views and subscribers. This is how it works: Just type into the search box our video idea, and it will tell what related keywords to use in our title for high search volume!

Let's type in "Halloween Ghosts and Witches for kids."

It gives us a ton of keywords and video ideas! It provides a weighted and unweighted score.  It also offers an overall score. If the overall score is poor, it's very competitive, but with lots of potential views! Create unique content, and we will get into the YouTube algorithm!  TubeBuddy is fun to explore, and it can help us get much more views, subscribers, and earnings.

    2. Suggested Tags

The Suggested Tags complement the Keyword Explorer perfectly. These tags embed themselves into the video upload page and suggested titles based on our main target keywords.

    3. SEO Studio

    4. Best Time To Publish

Instead of using the timezone, now I  would use TubeBuddy's deep analytics to know the optimal upload time based on my audience. This helps a lot in getting our videos into the YouTube algorithm giving us a big boost of organic traffic!

    5. Video A/B Tests

It allows us to compare different thumbnails and titles on the same video and see which one performs better. We need to give TubeBuddy two other thumbnails and tags, and it will automatically change them for you on alternating days and then measure which one got more views.

    6. Retention Analyzer

    7. Health Report

    8. Rank Trackings

    9. Productivity Tools

    10. Bulk metadata updates

This feature saves us time and can help us make money. The bulk

    processing feature can:

    • Bulk change descriptions, titles, or thumbnails
    • Bulk change cards
    • Bulk update end screens

If we have a channel with 250 videos and want to update the description to include a new product we are offering, that earns us affiliate commissions. Across our entire channel, this could add up to a ton of traffic. Here, we can use TubeBuddy's bulk update descriptions tool. It's super easy and saves a ton of time.

    11. Canned Responses

    12. Publish to Facebook

    • Search for and select the YouTube video you wish to share on Facebook.
    • Below the video, tap on "Share."
    • Scroll to find Facebook from the list of apps. ...
    • Tap "Next" in the upper right-hand corner to share the video after you've made a comment.
    • Tap Share.

    13. Thumbnail Generator

    14. Video Topic Planner

These new tools, plus our hard work, can increase our views, subscribers, and earnings!  Everyone can do it. With TubeBuddy, the hard work becomes more productive and earns more.
