About Me
Hello, and welcome to AI123.ca.
My name is David. I’m retired, over 70, a grandfather, a lifelong learner, and—somewhat unexpectedly—an enthusiastic explorer of AI.
I created this blog not as a tech expert or programmer, but as a curious everyday user who believes technology should be practical, human, and approachable—especially for seniors.
My Journey
For most of my life, I learned by observing, experiencing, and reflecting. Travel, friendships, family, history, and everyday challenges have all shaped how I see the world. Writing has always been a way for me to整理思路—to organize thoughts, preserve memories, and share lessons learned along the way.
When AI tools like ChatGPT entered my life, I didn’t see them as something to fear. I saw them as a companion—one that helps me think more clearly, write better English, and save time so I can focus on what really matters: ideas, stories, and meaning.
Why AI123.ca
AI123.ca is my attempt to demystify AI.
No jargon. No hype. No pretending everyone needs to become a tech wizard.
Here, I share:
How seniors can use AI in simple, practical ways
How AI helps with writing, blogging, learning English, and organizing memories
Honest reflections on what AI does well—and where human judgment still matters
Personal stories from travel, family life, and everyday experiences
If I can learn this step by step, so can you.
Writing With AI—But Still Human
AI helps me polish my English, improve structure, and speed up editing. But the thoughts, experiences, and values are mine.
I believe the art of learning—and even the roots of science—come from within ourselves and our environment, refined over time through observation and reflection. AI, to me, is simply another tool in that long tradition.
Who This Blog Is For
Seniors curious about AI but unsure where to start
Bloggers and writers who want help, not replacement
Friends and readers who enjoy candid stories with practical takeaways
Anyone who believes learning has no age limit
A Final Note
This blog isn’t about being perfect or keeping up with the latest trend.
It’s about staying curious, staying engaged with the world, and proving—quietly but confidently—that growth doesn’t stop at retirement.
If something here sparks an idea, eases a concern, or encourages you to try one small new thing, then AI123.ca has done its job.
Thank you for being here.
— David
