A Surprising Discovery on AI123.ca and Grandpa AI Journey
This morning, I made a rather interesting discovery while looking at one of my own blog posts on AI123.ca and Grandpa Journey.
I was browsing my blog on my cell phone using Chrome when I noticed the three dots in the browser menu.
I clicked on them.
Then I discovered something I had never noticed before: AI playback.
Chrome offered an option that allowed me to listen to the content of my blog post instead of simply reading it.
I thought, “That is pretty cool.”
But then it became even more interesting.
Two Voices Instead of One
When I started the AI playback, I heard two people talking — a man and a woman.
They were not simply reading my blog post word for word.
They were discussing the content and giving their own views about what they were reading.
I was listening to the conversation on my phone.
And then I realized something that made me smile.
They were talking positively about the author of the blog post — an 80-year-old grandpa.
That grandpa, of course, was me.
I Was Listening to AI Talk About Me
There was something quite unusual about listening to two AI voices discuss something I had written.
I am used to writing stories.
I am used to people reading my stories.
But this was different.
The AI voices were taking my written story and turning it into a kind of conversation.
They were discussing the ideas in the article and reacting to the person behind the writing.
And apparently, they had a pretty positive impression of this 80-year-old grandfather.
I have to admit — I enjoyed listening to it. 😊
Maybe This Is Another Way to Enjoy a Blog
This discovery also made me think about the future of blogging.
Not everyone wants to sit down and read a long article.
Some people would rather listen.
Perhaps someone could put on their headphones while having breakfast, walking, gardening, or relaxing in the evening.
Instead of reading my story, they could simply listen to AI discuss it.
That means one blog post can potentially become more than just words on a screen.
It can become something people read, listen to, and experience in different ways.
From Grandpa to AI
There is something amusing about the whole situation.
An 80-year-old grandpa sits down and writes a story.
Then AI takes the story and creates a conversation about it.
And finally, the grandpa sits there listening to AI talk about the grandpa.
It sounds almost like a scene from a science-fiction movie.
Except it happened this morning — on my cell phone, while I was browsing my own blog.
Another Step in My AI Journey
This is exactly the kind of thing I enjoy documenting on Grandpa Journey.
I am not an AI expert.
I am simply an 80-year-old grandfather who likes to explore.
Sometimes I discover something because I am looking for it.
And sometimes, like this morning, I stumble upon something completely by accident.
That may be one of the most enjoyable parts of my AI journey.
I explore something.
I discover something.
I try it.
And then I write about what happened.
Today, I discovered that my blog posts can be turned into an AI conversation with two voices — a man and a woman — and those two voices even had some nice things to say about the 80-year-old grandpa who wrote the story.
Not bad for a Saturday morning. 😊
