Keep body healthy with family doctor recommended healthy recipes

Doctors, dieticians, and fitness instructors always advise people to eat more vegetables, especially veggies rich in colors such as red pepper,  yellow peppers, green peppers, green leaf veggies, mushrooms, beets, tomatoes, carrots are highly recommended. My usual diet is comprised of spring mix, lettuce, choy sum together with some color veggies salad  I used vinegar or olive oil no salad dressings.  The doctor advised eating an apple each day and apple is still my favorite fruit.  I am  5ft 9in and my weight now is 166 lb. at my recent annual medical checkup so I am in pretty good shape.  


11 years ago, I ate a lot of meaty food.  The weight then was180lb.    The blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol were on the borderline. My family doctor did not give me any medicine instead he advised I changed my diet with a lot of veggies and fewer meats.   Upon his advice, I did more physical exercises such as ping pong and walking. That was  2 hours of activities per day. His holistic approach worked There is no ping pong during the pandemic, so walking is the only exercise to keep fit physically.

Now at 75,  and become 76 next month.  I still enjoy my family doctor-recommended healthy recipes eating veggies for plants proteins, phytonutrients, and fibers, and meats such as fish, chicken,  pork, and beef in smaller quantities for animal proteins.   I  am a grandpa with two grandchildren. Working in the kitchen and garden is my routine. The time with the young ones is most joyful. We enjoy the kitchen most, where we prepare delicious meals for our children and grandkids as they say, " Thank you, grandpa and grandma, for the yummy food."
