打造每日趣味問答 App：我與 Glide 與 AI 的初體驗

作為銀髮族，我們日常生活中很容易忘記一些小事。我希望找到一種有趣、實用的方法來每天鍛煉記憶力，不僅是為自己，也為朋友和家人。於是，我決定創建一個 每日趣味問答 App — 以下是我的實踐過程！

第一步：準備數據

我從 Google Sheets 開始，它就像 App 的大腦。我建立了一個名為 「Daily Trivia Companion Data」 的試算表，添加了以下欄位：

• 日期

• 類別（健康、科技、懷舊…）

• 題目

• 選項（A、B、C、D）

• 正確答案

• 趣味小知識

填入幾個樣本題目後，試算表就可以連接到 Glide 了。

第二步：用 Glide 創建 App

Glide 非常棒，不需要編程經驗。我只需要：

1. 打開 Glide → 從 Google Sheet 建立新專案

2. 確認四個標籤頁（Trivia, MedicalHealth, Settings、Users）都正確導入

3. 設計 Trivia 畫面，確保易讀 — 大字體、清晰按鈕、以及「顯示答案」功能

4. 在筆電上預覽 App

第三步：在手機上使用

最令人興奮的部分 — 我在 Android 手機上打開 App！刷新後，題目完美顯示，和筆電上一模一樣。現在，我隨時都可以進行每日趣味問答了。

接下來的計劃

明天，我打算加入功能：

• 記憶日誌：用戶可以記錄答案或心得

• 跟蹤哪些題目記住了，哪些忘記了

• 可能加入通知，提醒每天完成問答

這次的體驗提醒我，科技並不可怕。只要有好奇心和耐心，銀髮族也能打造既有趣又實用的工具。

Building a Daily Trivia App: My First Steps with Glide and AI

As seniors, it’s easy to forget little things in our daily lives. I wanted a fun, practical way to exercise memory every day, not just for myself, but for friends and family too. So, I decided to create a Daily Trivia Companion App — and here’s how it went!

Step 1: Prepare the Data

I started with Google Sheets, which acts like the brain of the app. I created a sheet called “Daily Trivia Companion Data” and added columns for:

• Date

• Category (Health, Tech, Nostalgia…)

• Question

• Options (A, B, C, D)

• Correct Answer

• Fun Fact

After adding a few sample trivia questions, the sheet was ready to be connected to Glide.

Step 2: Create the App with Glide

Glide is amazing because you don’t need to know coding. I simply:

1. Opened Glide → created a new project from my Google Sheet

2. Checked that all four tabs (Trivia, MedicalHealth, Settings, Users) imported correctly

3. Designed the Trivia screen for easy reading — large fonts, clear buttons, and a “Reveal Answer” feature

4. Previewed the app on my laptop

Step 3: See it on My Phone

The most exciting part — I opened the app on my Android phone! After refreshing, the trivia questions appeared perfectly, just like on my laptop. Now I can enjoy daily trivia anywhere.

What’s Next

Tomorrow, I plan to add features like:

• A Memory Journal where users can record answers or reflections

• Tracking which questions I remembered or forgot

• Possibly notifications to remind me to do the daily trivia

This journey reminded me that technology doesn’t have to be intimidating. With a bit of curiosity and patience, seniors can build tools that are both fun and useful.

💡 Tip for fellow seniors: Start simple — one sheet, a few questions, and one app screen. You can always expand later!
