We all know that content is vital to online businesses, blogs, and websites. They can have websites, but they will not stay online without quality and relevant content for long. The content will determine how high its search rankings will go. Google pays attention to how good your website content is. They take quality content and relevance into account when they rank a website. If you start with the basics of content mix, you are a step ahead in the competition.
After watching the above video, let's look at some good practices to improve your traffic and blog success.
1. Do Your Research
Before you even start thinking about attacking the competition, you need to do your research. Proper blogging practices are as important as the content.
2. Create and Optimize Content Regularly
Once you have your target audience identified, you need to create and publish content regularly. The best way to attract an audience is by consistently providing them with fresh, relevant content to their needs.
3. Focus on Your Own Website
When looking to improve your blog traffic, it is essential to focus on your own website monitoring the performance with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Note: Google Analytics is so massive that it takes a lot of time to know it well before you can master it. I would suggest using Google Console first.
4. Make Sure Your Site Is Mobile-Friendly
If your content does not look good on mobile, you will probably have difficulty getting people to read your content. The switch is obvious from desktop to mobile. Desktop users are significantly outnumbered by phone users.
Note: You can set it to mobile-friendly at 'Theme.' click customize, click the down arrow, and choose mobile settings. Then preview, and it is done.
5. Make Sure To Have a Good, Consistent Call-To-Action
The more often you ask your audience to take some action, the more likely they will be to complete that action. Write about topics that relate to your audience's wants and needs.
6. Include Social Buttons
You should always include social buttons, as they can increase your traffic.
7. Use a Link Building Strategy
It is essential to have a link-building strategy for both the internal and external links. Note: 2 for internal and 2 for outer.
8. Use the Keywords that relate to the titles
You should always use the keywords that you are targeting in your content. Repeat the target keywords from your blog title and post titles, putting them naturally through the body content.
Note: I have underlined these keywords so that you can find them readily. It also helps that search engine robot to find them.
9. Optimize Your Content for Some Keywords
In addition to using the search engine's keywords, you should also use your own keywords in your content. Note: make a keyword list for each blog. For this purpose, I use Notepad, which is fast and straightforward.
Find relevant topics and resources that match your audience's interests.
If you are looking for a new topic to write about, do a Google search for "topics that go viral." This gives you a list of ideas and issues that have the potential to go viral. Blogging requires a perfect content mix. Will you know what your audience is looking for? You can't just assume that 'SEO' is the answer. Note: make good use of Google Search - People Also Ask. It may give you more ideas. Always answer people first before the search engines.
Know what keywords get the most traffic.
- You've got to know which phrases your audience is typing into search engines to get the answers they're looking for. Note: Refer to Google Search Console for the queries.
- Know which phrases your audience is typing into search engines to get the answers they're looking for.
- Know what keywords and phrases you're ranking for that you're not getting the traffic.
Write for Your Audience
Once you've done your research,
- Know who your audience is. Write for them.
- See where you're losing your audience. You've got to see the traffic coming in and the traffic that's not.
- Know which phrases your audience is typing into search engines to get the answers they're looking for.
Create Unique Content
When it comes to content, you have to be unique and original. Great blog content is essential for driving traffic, engaging readers, and building a solid community of followers. But what exactly makes up excellent blog content? A successful blog relies on a perfect mix of various types of content, including original articles, well-structured content, images and videos, and guest posts from industry experts.
